Massachusetts brand American Optical has 150 years in the eyewear game, and they revisit their archives for a re-release of the Oxford, a spectacle that got its bearing in 1935. The brand has taken the Oxford’s frame and added a bit of 2022 to it in a mixed media construction of acetate, and metal.

The rounded American Optical Oxford, comes to us with AOLite nylon lenses with Calobar Green, Cosmetic Brown, or SunVogue Green gradients. The features continue with UVA + UVB protection, anti reflective coating, smudge resistance, and scratch + impact resistance, in a lightweight sunglass.

The lenses meet three color styles that integrate handcrafted nosepads directly on the round frame. They are finished with brushed metal details, and unique bridge detail for a timeless eyewear silhouette that is right on time.
